Night Moves

Nightlife in the big city provides a wide range of scenarios and scenery,
well beyond drinks, appearances and affectations.
In this exhibition, Urbanica photographers describe the rich fabric of urban nightlife, highlighting the relationship between people and place, as night transforms today into yesterday.
The concept for the exhibition “NightMoves” developed from an ongoing discussion about differences between night owls and early birds, yielding
an interesting array of visual interpretations on the subject.

I chose to display two photographs that were taken in Tel Aviv and one in Paris. Apart from the street names, I did not identify any essential differences, neither in the views nor textures of these nighttime photographs. Indeed, all three are characterized by a dialogue between the people in the photos and the artifacts among which they act and live.
